‘Those behind Aso’s attack must be prosecuted’ – CCC members

A group of Celestial Church of Christ members in the United States have urged the church leadership to ensure that those responsible for the attack on Venerable Superior Evangelist James Aso are prosecuted.
Under the leadership of Senior Evangelist Israel Idowu, the group spoke with different voices, calling on Reverend Friday Mobiyina Oshoffa, the pastor of Celestial Church of Christ, not to let the “dirty allegation” against a respected clergyman fade away.
“Why is the autopsy taking a longer time? It is obvious God saved Aso, he’s a real apostle of God that is why he’s alive,” said Idowu.
“Aso is a good shepherd in the Celestial folds; he’s a great shepherd with a good disciplinary attitude, those who believe in God stick with Aso’s policy. “

“What Celestial wants is judgment for Aso, those behind the attack must be prosecuted. Those bloggers must be prosecuted; they must face the law, enough bad names for Celestial. We want the pastor to rise up and take good steps in ensuring adequate judgment for Aso.
“Nobody is talking about the incident again. What’s going to happen to the land in Ajah? Can he go back there again? Who are those behind this? We want to know.”
In June, Celestial Church of Christ, Overcomers Parish, Ajah, Lagos was attacked over the death of a labourer popularly known as ‘Dongo’, a Hausa man residing close to the church over the evacuation of the church soakaway.
The incident left the church’s shepherd and other members in critical condition. The irate mob also set fire to the church building after vandalizing it and looting its property worth millions of naira.
