Pastor Marries Second Wife as Frist Wife Introduces Her to Congregation (PHOTOS)

According to a report by the official Facebook page of the Punch Nigeria on Monday, October 26, 2026, United States-based pastor Israel Ford has announced his marriage to a second wife, describing the belief that a man should have only one wife as unbiblical.

Ford, who is associated with LifeWorks Church in Wickliffe, Ohio, made the announcement on Sunday through a Facebook post accompanied by a video recorded during a church service.

In the video, Ford appeared alongside his first wife, Lydia Ford, who also serves as a pastor at the church, and his new wife, Shakayla Ford.

Lydia introduced Shakayla to the congregation as her husband’s second wife.

According to reports, Lydia disclosed that Ford and Shakayla had been privately married for three years before the announcement was made publicly.

Ford defended his decision by referring to Exodus 21:10, which mentions a man taking another wife and continuing to provide for his first wife.

He wrote, “I would like to introduce to the world, my second wife, Shakayla Ford!”

“As a nation we have been taught that a man should have one wife only. This is unbiblical,” he added.

Ford also said he would not abandon his decision to satisfy public opinion.

“I have no plans to choose pleasing man over what God has revealed,” he stated.
