Popular Prophet Names Top States APC May Loose After Osun; Gives Solutions

According to a statement shared on Primate Elijah Ayodele’s official Facebook page on Sunday, August 16, 2026, the cleric identified several states he believes could become flashpoints ahead of the 2027 general election, while also commenting on the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s prospects in the presidential contest.
Ayodele urged political stakeholders and security agencies to pay close attention to Imo, Anambra, Akwa Ibom and Delta states, which he described as potential hotspots during the election period. He warned that tensions in the states could escalate if not properly managed.
“Imo State, Anambra, Akwa Ibom, Delta State, let’s watch so that those states is going to be a flashpoint, is going to be serious,” he said. He added that similar incidents could occur in other locations, including Abuja, referencing what he described as events witnessed in Osun State.

The cleric also assessed the APC’s chances in the 2027 presidential election, describing the contest as a major battleground for the party. He expressed confidence that the APC would perform strongly in Adamawa and Sokoto.
“See, when I said battleground for APC, that’s presidential battleground for APC, I still repeat for presidential election APC. That is 100% certain. Adamawa is one hundred percent certain for APC to win. Nigeria is one hundred percent certain for presidential, likewise Sokoto,” Ayodele stated.

However, he said the situation could be more competitive in Kaduna, Kano and Abuja, suggesting that the APC should not consider victory in those areas guaranteed.
He also discussed the governorship elections in Kaduna and Sokoto, expressing doubts about the chances of candidates emerging from the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
According to him, the ADC candidate in Kaduna would face significant challenges and should not be considered certain to win. He made a similar assessment of the party’s prospects in Sokoto, advising its candidates to be cautious about their expectations.
