Breaking: Tinubu appoints Marwa, Wike, Bagudu as ministers

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s highly anticipated nominees have now arrived in the Senate for screening and confirmation. The list was sent in compliance with the provisions of the constitution.

According to a new amendment to the 1999 Constitution, the President and Governors must submit the name of persons nominated as ministers or commissioners within 60 days of taking the oath of office for confirmation by the Senate or state House of Assembly.

The list, already dubbed in some quarters as ministerial list (cabinet) of unity, is expected to be drawn from the ruling App Progressives Congress (APC), People Democratic Party (PDP) and several technocrats.

According to sources from the Villa, former River State governor, Nysome Wike, former Governor of Kebbi State, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Buba Marwa are said to be on the list.
