I heartily congratulate Comrade Michael-Azeez Ogunsiji on your well-deserved re-election as Chairman of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Ogun State Chapter.

Your re-election is a clear testament to the confidence and trust that members of the association have in your leadership, commitment, and capacity to advance the ideals of sports journalism in Ogun State.

The decision of SWAN members to entrust you with a second term is not merely an endorsement of your person; it is a resounding vote of confidence in the modest but impactful successes you recorded during your first tenure.

Under your leadership, the Ogun State chapter of SWAN has continued to project professionalism, promote sports development, and strengthen the relationship between sports stakeholders and the media. These achievements have undoubtedly earned you the overwhelming support of your colleagues.

As you begin another term, I urge you and the newly inaugurated executive committee to build on the gains already made, remain united in purpose, and continue to champion initiatives that will further develop sports as a catalyst for youth empowerment, economic growth, and social cohesion in Ogun State.

I also commend members of the association for conducting a peaceful and rancour-free election, which reflects the maturity and democratic culture within the association.

On behalf of the good people of Ogun West Senatorial District, I wish Comrade Michael-Azeez Ogunsiji and his team a successful, impactful, and fulfilling tenure. I assure them of my continued support for initiatives that promote sports development and empower our young talents across Ogun State.

By the grace of God, when we assume executive responsibility in Ogun State in 2027, my administration will work closely with the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Ogun State Chapter, and other critical stakeholders to galvanize the sports sector, unlock its immense economic potential, develop world-class sporting infrastructure, and create opportunities for our talented youths to excel.
