EXCLUSIVE: NDC Reveals Party’s Presidential Candidate After Convention

There was widespread jubilation among supporters and loyalists of former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, following strong indications that he may emerge as the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

This comes after the party reportedly zoned its 2027 presidential ticket to the South during its national convention held on Friday, a move seen by political observers as favouring Obi’s ambition.

Recall that Obi and former Kano State governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, recently dumped the ADC amid an alleged leadership crisis and growing disagreements over the party’s presidential ticket arrangement, particularly concerns surrounding the influence of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
