Top Lawmaker Buys APC Presidential Forms for Tinubu’s 2027 Re-Election Bid

James Faleke, the lawmaker representing the Ikeja Federal Constituency, has acquired the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for President Bola Tinubu in preparation for the 2027 presidential election.

On Tuesday in Abuja, Suleiman Argungu, the APC National Organising Secretary, officially opened the process and presented the nomination forms to Faleke, who also serves as the founder of the Tinubu Support Groups.

The purchase of these forms, valued at ₦100 million, marks the official start of Tinubu’s re-election campaign.

Additionally, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced its schedule for the upcoming elections.

The presidential and National Assembly elections are slated for January 16, 2027, while the governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections will take place on February 6, 2027.

According to INEC, party primaries are set to run from April 23 to May 30, 2026, with campaigning for presidential and National Assembly elections commencing on August 19, 2026. Campaigns for governorship and state assembly elections will start on September 9, 2026.
