Top Politician Reveals Who Will Pick ADC Presidential Ticket

Segun Showunmi, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has voiced his confidence that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar will secure the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In a recent social media post, Showunmi highlighted Atiku’s political strength and preparedness for the upcoming race, suggesting that these attributes position him favorably for the nomination.
However, Showunmi acknowledged that Atiku may face significant competition from Rotimi Amaechi, the former Minister of Transportation, whom he identified as the closest rival in this anticipated contest.
Additionally, Showunmi provided a broader analysis of Nigeria’s political landscape, noting a growing sense of dissatisfaction among voters, particularly in the northern regions of the country.
He emphasized that both rural and urban communities in the North are experiencing deep grievances, which he believes could significantly influence the outcome of the 2027 elections.
Furthermore, Showunmi warned political leaders against abandoning their loyal supporters after gaining their backing, cautioning that such actions could have detrimental effects. He suggested that shifting loyalties may redefine political alliances as the elections approach, influencing the overall political dynamics in the lead-up to the polls.
Speaking further on Atiku’s preparedness, Showunmi portrayed the former vice president as fully committed to the race, stressing that he is ready to vigorously pursue the contest and give it significant attention.
Highlighting key battlegrounds, Showunmi identified the South-East as a crucial region that could determine the election’s outcome. In contrast, he expressed uncertainty about the South-West, describing its voting patterns as unpredictable.
He also underscored the importance of the North-Central region, urging politicians to take its concerns seriously, as it could serve as a critical swing bloc in the election.
