APC Chairman Breaks Silence on Secret Deal with Wike

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has initiated the screening process for candidates vying for positions within its National Working Committee (NWC) in anticipation of the party’s 2026 national convention.

This process, carried out by the Aspirants’ Screening Committee, is designed to evaluate the qualifications and credentials of those aspiring to take on significant leadership roles within the NWC.

Party stakeholders say the screening ensures that only qualified and competent individuals are cleared to contest, in line with the APC constitution and guidelines.

The process marks a crucial step in reorganising and strengthening the party’s internal structure ahead of future political engagements, highlighting the APC’s readiness for the upcoming convention, where new national officers are expected to be elected to guide the party’s direction.

During the exercise, chaired by Biodun Oyebanji, the committee also screened the party’s National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, asking him to take a bow in recognition of his commendable leadership and contributions to the party.
