Police arrest 31-year-old man for stealing air conditioner, cables in Ogun
Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested 31-year-old Lekan Ogunsanya, for vandalism and stealing air conditioners and cables in Isoso, Sagamu Local Government Area of the state.
The arrest was confirmed in a statement obtained on Friday.
The command’s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, said the suspect was apprehended while dismantling air conditioners from two houses in the community.
Odutola stated that his arrest followed a distress call from a resident who noticed his suspicious activity.
She said: “Residents reported the incident to the Sagamu Division on Thursday after the suspect broke into two houses within the quarters and began dismantling cables and already installed air conditioners.
“A resident passing by the two houses noticed the suspicious activity and alerted others, leading to the suspect’s arrest”.
She mentioned that all stolen items were retrieved as exhibits.
