Katsina police command presents ₦4.5m worth of cheques to deceased officers’ families

The Katsina State Command Police Commissioner Aliyu Musa while presenting the cheques to 13 beneficiaries at the Command Headquarters, Katsina noted that the gesture was part of the Inspector General of Police Family Welfare Insurance Schemes for deceased officers’ next of kin.

The Commissioner, represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Finance and Administration Aminu Gusau thanked the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun for his magnanimity towards the families of deceased police officers who paid the supreme price.

He, therefore, called on the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the money to alleviate the suffering of the families left behind.

One of the beneficiaries John Yarima who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, thanked the IGP for the gesture.

Yarima promised that the fund would be used for the betterment of their lives. He also prayed for God’s guidance over the leadership of the command and the force.
