Yahaya emerges Northern Governors’ Forum chairman

The Governor of Gombe State, Inuwa Yahaya, has assumed the role of the Chairman of the Northern State Governors Forum (NSGF), marking a significant leadership change within the influential regional alliance.

Governor Yahaya, elected as Gombe State governor in 2019, recently secured a second term in office following his successful reelection bid in the 2023 general election.

With his proven track record and continued popular support, he now takes the reins from Simon Bako Lalong, the outgoing governor of Plateau State, who has held the position of NSGF Chairman.
