Trouble in NDC over Registration Process as INEC Likely to Take Action

The convener of the League of Northern Democrats (LND), Umar Ardo, has expressed belief that the registration of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) as a political party will be nullified, as reported by Naija News.
According to him, they are already in court over the matter, and he believes the court will rule in their favour.
Naija News reorts that Ardo, who is a key promoter of the All Democratic Alliance (ADA), alleged irregularities in the processes leading to the registration of NDC by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
He claimed that the NDC was registered without fulfilling the registration requirement, but by a Court order.
“We are in court over NDC irregularities in registration by INEC. The court will cancel the NDC registration,” Ardo stated during an interview with an online Medium, DCL Hausa.
Meanwhile, a former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has explained that his decision to join the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) is based on a deep commitment to democratic values.
According to him, the platform will be used in the renewed fight for good governance and true democracy in Nigeria.
Naija News reports that Kwankwaso disclosed this in a post via his 𝕏 account on Monday.
He assured that the move is targeted at providing Nigerians with a credible platform and appealed to his supporters and other well-meaning Nigerians to join the NDC.
