Genocide: US Sends Fresh Message To Tinubu Over Media Propaganda

United States Senator Ted Cruz has publicly criticized the Nigerian government for what he claims is a public relations strategy aimed at downplaying policies that contribute to the persecution of Christians in the country.
Cruz’s remarks came following comments made by Yusuf Tuggar, Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, during an interview with Piers Morgan on the show “Piers Uncensored.”
In the interview, Tuggar asserted that Nigeria is not facing a genocide against Christians, stating that his position is grounded in “factual and contextual” data.
In response to Tuggar’s statements, Cruz accused Nigerian officials of obscuring the reality of the violence faced by Christians in the country.
His words: “Nigerian officials know their policies have created an environment in which Christians are being persecuted and slaughtered, including their enforcement of sharia law and their tolerance of Islamist violence.
“Instead of reversing these policies, they are waging a media campaign to escape exposure and accountability. I intend to prevent them from doing so.”
Cruz has previously urged the US Congress to designate Nigeria as a “country of particular concern” over religious freedom violations.
