[PHOTO]: Tinubu in secret dialogue with suspended Rivers Governor Fubara in Lagos
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday held a closed-door meeting with suspended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara at his private residence in Lagos.
The meeting marks the first official engagement between the embattled governor and the president since Fubara was suspended from office following the declaration of Emergency Rule in Rivers State on March 18, 2025.
During the declaration, President Tinubu dissolved the elected government of Rivers State, removing Governor Fubara, his deputy, and the entire state House of Assembly, citing escalating insecurity and governance breakdown. A former Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ete Ibas (rtd), was immediately appointed as Sole Administrator for an initial period of six months.
Fubara, who had remained largely silent in the aftermath of the declaration, recently expressed support for Tinubu’s action, describing it as “the right call at the right time” to bring peace to the restive state. In a public address last week, he assured the people of Rivers that the Emergency Rule “will soon be lifted,” and that he would “return to office.”
The suspended governor also pledged that all government officials previously working under his administration would “come back to your offices,” while revealing that he had reconciled with his political mentor and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
However, Wike stated on Monday that President Tinubu did not consult him before deciding to impose an Emergency Rule on the state.
Speaking at a regular media parley, the former Rivers governor revealed that he was not consulted. According to him, if he had been informed, he would not have supported that move
As discussions surrounding a potential resurgence of former President Goodluck Jonathan become increasingly prominent, various governors and influential political figures have commenced efforts to mobilize support for him in an election expected to be highly competitive.

2027 Election: “Tell Tinubu This”, – Primate Ayodele Sends Strong Warning To Tinubu In New Prophecy
Prophet Ayodele has consistently been in the news week in, week out. It is either he is releasing a fresh prophecy that’s gaining traction or a previous prohecy has just come to fulfilment and people are talking about it.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele stated that the present administration is full of wrong advisers who are pushing for irrelevant policies, and making good advisers enemies of the president.
The prophet warned the president against making good advisers his enemies, as it will lead to the end of his government if care isn’t taken.
“Tinubu’s administration is full of wrong advisers; they are turning him against his good advisers, and he will make them his enemies. He is creating enemies, and those whom he thinks love him would be his worst enemies.
“There are lots of irrelevant policies they are using to kill Tinubu’s government; these are policies that will build up massive protests against the government and division. He should do the needful; there are several irrelevant policies already, but the focus ought to be on what will make people happy. “
Primate Ayodele mentioned some things the president should focus on, and they include development and surplus for the people. He stated that road construction is good, but it’s not enough for the people.
He commended the president for his efforts on insecurity but urged him to do more.
“Tinubu should focus on development, on how to create surplus for the people. Road construction is good, but it’s not the only thing people need; he needs to look into other areas.
“On insecurity, he is doing well, but he should do more, activate forest security in order to end kidnapping. He should increase the salaries of national assembly members because it will turn the nation into chaos. He should also eradicate darkness, and not add more tariffs and taxes to basic things in the country.”
