Celestial Church awaits autopsy report on labourer’s death

…Over 100 Million property looted, razed
The Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide is awaiting the report of an autopsy conducted on the corpse of CCC Overcomers parish’s labourer, Dogo, who died while evacuating the church soak away that led to the brutal attack on Venerable Superior Evangelist James Aso, in Ajah some months ago.
Aso, the founding Shepherd of Celestial Church of Christ (C.C.C), Overcomers Parish, Ajah, Lagos, was brutally attacked by irate mobs over the accidental death of a Hausa labourer known as Dogo.
Dogo was said to have died in a soakaway while trying to clear it in a branch of CCC Overcomers Parish Ajah in Lagos.
The Assistant Shepherd-In-Charge of the parish, who fell into the soakaway while trying to rescue the labourer, was in critical condition for weeks before reviving. The mob looted the church properties worth over N100 Million and razed it.

In efforts to ensure the founding shepherd’s innocence, the Celestial Church of Christ body as well as eminent Nigerians have demanded for the autopsy of the deceased whose family had already confirmed no part of the body was missing.
The remains of the deceased are still deposited at the mortuary while waiting for the official release of the autopsy.
Speaking with one of the top officials of the Pastor-in-Council, (Name withheld) said the CCC worldwide is waiting for the outcome of the autopsy while the Shepherd stays away from church activities for now.
“The truth must prevail, we are not going to fold our arms and let this lie remain in the history of the church. Aso is our shepherd, one of the trustworthy Celestial shepherds. He has parishe in many celestial big churches and the PASTOR and top authorities of the church have confidence in what he has done. We are anxiously waiting for the result of the autopsy before taking further steps,” a member of the pastor in council said.
“Once the autopsy is ready and we are able to clear the innocence of James Aso, all those publishing lies would definitely be called for their own evidence,” he stated.
Meanwhile, One of the topmost Celestial Church of Christ shepherds, Prophet Gabriel Evans of City of David has condemns the earlier reports of Shepherd Aso James using a labourer who died accidentally during the evacuation of soakaway in CCC Overcomers Parish, Ajah, for rituals.
The no-nonsense Prophet Evans described James Aso as a worthy Shepherd having known him over 25 years ago in Asapa London parish. And over time has demonstrated the habit of a good servant of God
The leader of His Majesty Evangelical Ministry said it is an insult to the body of Christ tagging Celestial Church of Christ and James Aso as ritualists.
“I have known Shepherd Aso over 25 years ago in Asapa London, I know him a trustworthy fellow, responsible and dedicated to the work of God, he’s a good guy, I used the word good guy because when we started of young together he was a wonderful person. And I believe and I can testify that Aso is a straight forward person, for some people to come and say Aso is ritualist, Celestial Church is a ritualist is an insult to the body of Christ.”

REVEALED: 7 Businesses Owned By Mr Eazi That Many Nigerians Do Not Know About [FULL LIST]

When Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, tied the knot with Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, many in Nigeria’s elite circles questioned why one of the nation’s most prominent families would give their daughter’s hand to a musician.
But at the couple’s white wedding in Iceland, Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, provided an answer that silenced critics by confirming Mr Eazi as an entrepreneur with businesses across 18 countries on the continent.
Below is a list of Mr Eazi’s businesses, not known to many Nigerians.
1- emPawa Africa – Founded in 2018, emPawa is a talent incubation and music distribution platform that has helped launch stars like Joeboy. It provides mentorship, funding, and resources for up-and-coming artists across Africa.
2- Zagadat Capital – Mr Eazi’s venture capital firm invests in startups in tech, media, and entertainment. Notable investments include:
3- pawaPay – A pan-African mobile payments company.
4- Thrive Agric – an agri-tech startup connecting farmers to investors.
5- BetPawa – A popular online betting platform.
6- Street Banker – A financial inclusion project for underserved communities.
7- Choplife Gaming & Choplife SoundSystem – Expanding beyond music, Eazi launched Choplife Gaming in 2022, a pan-African lottery and gaming company. His Choplife SoundSystem blends music, events, and lifestyle branding into a cultural business model.
Although less publicised, the singer has confirmed investments in real estate projects across Nigeria and Ghana, as well as hospitality ventures linked to his Choplife brand.
Through Zagadat Capital, Eazi also holds stakes in several fintech firms driving financial inclusion across Africa.
Now married into one of Nigeria’s most influential families, Mr Eazi embodies a hybrid lifestyle — blending music, global entrepreneurship, and elite family life.
For him, business has never been secondary.
As Dangote hinted, music may be just the tip of the iceberg. With ventures spread across at least 18 African countries, Eazi is positioning himself not just as a musician, but as one of the continent’s most ambitious entrepreneurs.
And with his marriage to Temi Otedola, many say the couple may just become Africa’s new symbol of power, wealth, and influence.
