VIDEO: Barcelona fans burn Kylian Mbappe shirt ahead of Copa del Rey final

Tension is sky high as Barcelona take on Real Madrid in the Copa Del Rey tonight.

Real Madrid’s controversy surrounding the referee’s comments and subsequent reports suggesting they might decide to boycott the tie has only increased animosity between the two fans.

This was evident before the tie as Barcelona fans were seen burning the jersey of Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe.

The video below showcases how a section of Barça supporters gathered around to light up a Real Madrid shirt bearing the name of Mbappe.

This is not the first time Barcelona fans have shown animosity towards Real Madrid heading into the Copa Del Rey final.

Earlier, Barcelona fans were also heard chanting against Vinicius Junior. They were quite vile and aggressive towards the Brazilian international, even resorting to death threats against the player.

This trend of Barcelona fans stirring up trouble, though not completely unexpected given the history between the two clubs, is completely unacceptable.

It will now be interesting to see whether this kind of mischief caused by Barcelona fans will have any bearing on the game itself.

With everything at stake, tempers are likely to be high in the game. But the onus will be on Real Madrid to play with strategy and not emotions, especially considering how Hansi Flick’s men have gotten the better of them twice this season.
