NAHCO rewards cleaner who returned $10K found on plane, earns promotion

Auwal Dankode, a cleaner at Kano Airport and employee of the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO Aviance), discovered $10,000 left by a passenger on an Egypt Air flight.
Demonstrating remarkable integrity, he immediately returned the money to the airline’s station manager. In recognition of his honesty, NAHCO’s Group Managing Director/CEO, Indranil Gupta, praised Dankode’s character and rewarded him with a cash prize, an instant promotion, and an appointment as the NAHCO Brand Ambassador.
At a ceremony in Lagos, senior executives lauded Dankode’s integrity, humility, and exemplary behavior, with one noting that his actions have made him a global ambassador for NAHCO.
