(PHOTOS): Niger State First Lady, Fatima Bago commits to eradicate Gender-Based Violence
Niger State Governor’s wife Fatima Mohammed Bago, has reaffirmed her commitment to reinforce the eradication of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in Niger State.
Disclosing on her Facebook page, the Niger State First Lady said she was privileged with other Governor’s wife for attending the first Gender and Social Norms Summit, organized by the First Lady Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu in collaboration with UNFPA at the State House.
Her Facebook post reads: “I was glad that the Summit addressed the implementation of stricter laws and more severe penalties for those guilty of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and related offenses, an issue of great concern.”
“I am encouraged and reaffirm my Commitment to reinforce the eradication of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in Niger State.”
