Hoodlums on Thursday attacked the State Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Dutse, the Jigawa State capital.

Rampaging hoodlums also burned vehicles parked on the premises of the secretariat.

The #EndBadGovernance protests also turned violent in the Hadejia area of the state.

Also in the state capital, protesters who marched to the Government House were dispersed by security agents.

The situation was similar in neighbouring Kano State where hoodlums took advantage of the #EndBadGovernance nationwide protests to set ablaze vehicles parked on the premises of the State High Court.

The newly built Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) Industrial Park in Kano was also looted on the first day of the nationwide protests against economic hardship.

The protests, which began on Thursday, have escalated in several parts of Kano and Jigawa, both in the North-West geopolitical zone.

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has since declared a 24-hour curfew.
