Big Brother Naija Season 9 housemate Rhuthee has spoken about her journey as a teen mother.

In a chat with fellow housemate Mayor Frosh on Wednesday, Rhuthee said she was initially ashamed of being a parent at a teenage age but later discovered that her daughter was the “best thing” that happened to her.

“How do I tell people I have a child? I can’t tell people. I never used to tell people I have a child,” she said while fighting back tears.

“It was just people that knew me from way back that knew that. I was still very ashamed that I had a child. It took me years to come out of that shell.

“As she grows, she even showed me more love than I ever did. And I’m like, this girl is the best thing that happened to me.”
