AFCON: Nigeria XI vs Côte d’Ivoire— Osimhen, Nwabali, Chukwueze lead Super Eagles attack

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are hoping to secure all three points in their second match of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations against the host team, Côte d’Ivoire.
The match will take place at the Olympique Alassane Ouattara Stadium.
Head coach Jose Peseiro has unveiled the official squad list, with Napoli forward Victor Osimhen leading the frontline and Calvin Bassey and Samuel Chukwueze returning to the starting line up.
Frank Onyeka will replace the injured Alhassan Yusuf from Nigeria’s previous match against the Central Africans, sitting alongside Alex Iwobi.
Nigeria is seeking its first victory at the 2023 AFCON tournament following a draw against Equatorial Guinea, while Cote d’Ivoire secured an impressive 2-0 victory against Guinea-Bissau in their opening game.
The Super Eagles, who experienced a disappointing draw, aim to avoid defeat and possibly secure a win against hosts Cote d’Ivoire to enhance their chances of advancing to the knockout round.
