BREAKING: Peter Obi Escapes Death As Suspected Thugs Attack Convoy [VIDEO

]There was tension in Benue State on Tuesday after suspected thugs allegedly blocked a major road as the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi, arrived in the state, according to Daily Post.

The incident was disclosed by Obi’s media aide, Esther Umoh, who shared a video on her X handle showing the blocked route.

According to Umoh, the incident occurred shortly after Obi and his entourage arrived in Benue State.

“We have just arrived in Benue State, where alleged sponsored thugs have blocked Boko Road by the Air Force Base, attempting to prevent Peter Obi from gaining access into the state,” she wrote.

In a separate video shared by Umoh, some individuals could be seen running after vehicles in the convoy in what she alleged was an attempt to attack the entourage.

It was not immediately clear who the individuals were or what prompted the incident.

As of the time of filing this report, the Benue State Government and the police had yet to publicly react to the allegation.
