The Ogun State Government has officially announced that all public and private primary and secondary schools, as well as government technical colleges, will resume for the third term of the 2025/2026 academic session on Monday.
This information was shared in a statement issued by the state Ministry of Education, Science and Technology on April 22, 2026.
The statement, authored by the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Abayomi Arigbabu, confirms that the resumption date is in accordance with the approved academic calendar for the session.
The ministry has also emphasized that all schools in the state are expected to begin academic activities immediately upon their return to class.
The government called on parents and guardians to ensure that their children and wards return to school without delay.
“Parents and guardians are enjoined to prepare their wards for immediate resumption as academic work will start without any delay,” the statement read.
The third term marks the concluding phase of the 2025/2026 academic session in Ogun State.
During this period, schools are expected to complete academic syllabuses, conduct promotion examinations, and prepare candidates for external examinations.
Schools in the state had earlier gone on vacation following the completion of the second term academic activities.
