Bauchi sacks six traditional rulers

The Bauchi Emirate Council has removed six recently appointed traditional title holders in the Galambi District Area, citing that the turbaning process of the traditional rulers did not follow established guidelines.
It would be recalled that the District Head of Galambi, Alh. Shehu Adamu Jumba, who is the Danlawal of Bauchi Emirate, had appointed and turbaned the traditional rulers at his palace as Galadiman Danlawal, Majidadin Danlawal, Wakilin Dokan Danlawal, Wakilin Gonan Danlawal, Sarkin Dajin Danlawal as well as Hardon Danlawal, respectively.
The decision to dethrone the traditional rulers was announced in a statement issued by Malam Babangida Hassan Jahun, the chief information officer of the Bauchi Emirate Council, during its council meeting.

The statement added that the District Head has also been barred from making such appointments for one year starting from November 7, 2023
He was further instructed to adhere strictly to established guidelines for future turbaning processes.
