JUST IN: APC Disqualifies Former Presidential Aspirant, 3 Senators from Primaries

Senate To Screen Christopher Musa As defence Minister Today

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the disqualification of 47 senatorial aspirants from its upcoming senate primary elections.

This decision was communicated in a statement released by Barr. Felix Morka, the national publicity secretary of the APC.

According to Morka, the disqualification resulted from a screening exercise that was carried out in accordance with the party’s established procedures and guidelines.

His words: “The All Progressives Congress (APC) hereby releases the list of Senatorial aspirants not cleared to participate in the Party’s Senate Primary Elections.

“The screening exercise was conducted by the Party’s Screening Committees in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.”

Among those affected are a former presidential aspirant under the APC, Jack-Rich Tein and Ben Murray-Bruce, ex-senator representing Bayelsa east.

Also listed are serving senators Benson Agadaga of Bayelsa east, Usman Wowo of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and Garba Mai Doki of Kebbi south.

Others not cleared include Tamunobaabo Danagogo, Banigo Ipalibo and Oyukaye Amachree from Rivers west senatorial district, among others.
