(VIDEO): Truck Collides with Gas Tanker, Triggers Explosion in Lagos

On March 21, a significant gas explosion occurred in the Ajah area of Lagos, resulting in a large fire that caused extensive damage to numerous properties.

The incident was triggered by a collision between a truck and a gas tanker during the early hours of the day.

Reacting to the incident on X, user Ayo-Bankole Akintujoye wrote, “There’s a massive gas explosion in the Ajah area of Lagos… Multiple properties have been affected, and the situation is severe.”

Officials from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the incident to reporters.

According to the Director of Public Affairs, Amodu Shakiru, the fire had been extinguished by the time of reporting, and further details about the incident would be released later.
