51 Students Killed as Iran Bombs 3 Countries in Fresh Attacks

At least 51 people were killed on Saturday in a strike on a girls’ school in southern Iran, state media said Saturday, after Israel and the United States launched attacks.
“In this morning’s Israeli missile attack on a girls’ elementary school in the (Minab) county, 51 students have so far been killed and 60 students have been wounded,” the county governor said.
The attack, reported on Saturday, is part of an ongoing wave of joint US-Israeli military operations across Iran that has escalated regional tensions and drawn sharp condemnation from Tehran.
Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency said rescue workers were still clearing debris from the school site, where the strike caused heavy civilian casualties. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi posted a photo of the damaged building on X, stating it had killed “innocent children.”
“These crimes against the Iranian People will not go unanswered,” Araghchi wrote.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei described the strike as a “blatant crime” and called on the United Nations Security Council to take action.
Separately, Iran’s Mehr news agency reported that at least two students were killed in another Israeli strike on a school east of Tehran.
Al Jazeera correspondent Mohammed Vall, reporting from Tehran, questioned US and Israeli claims that their operations target only military sites.
“President Trump has promised the Iranian people that aid or help is coming their way, but now we are seeing civilian casualties; that’s something that the Iranian government will stress as a case of violation of international law and an aggression against the Iranian people,” Vall said.
Neither the United States nor Israel has issued an immediate response to Iran’s claims regarding the school strikes.
Saudi Arabia on Saturday condemned Iran’s attacks on several countries in the Gulf and Middle East, including the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain.
“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemns and denounces in strongest terms the blatant Iranian aggression and the flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the state of Qatar, the state of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan,” a statement by the foreign ministry read.
It stressed Saudi Arabia’s solidarity and support for the countries named and offered to “place all its capabilities at their disposal in support of any measures they may undertake.”
The statement also warned of the consequences of Iran’s actions calling them a “continued violation of states’ sovereignty and the principles of international law.”
Moreover, the statement called on the international community to condemn the attacks and take the necessary measures to “confront Iranian violations that undermine the security and stability of the region.”
Earlier that day, Israel and the United States launched several strikes on targets across Iran. In response, Iran launched retaliatory attacks against US and Israeli targets across the Middle East and the Gulf, in addition to arbitrary targets.
