The president addressed Nigerians living abroad, encouraging them to serve as proud representatives of the country. He highlighted the cultural connections that unite citizens and reiterated the government’s commitment to ongoing reforms aimed at economic recovery.

During his remarks, he acknowledged that these reforms might pose challenges initially, comparing them to “bitter medication” necessary for improving the nation’s overall health and establishing a pathway toward prosperity. He expressed confidence in Nigeria’s potential to manufacture, develop, design, and build a robust and prosperous nation for all its citizens.

Drawing a comparison with Brazil, the president noted that both countries were once at similar levels of development; however, Nigeria has since fallen behind.
