Tinubu: ‘Buhari had 12 million captive Northern votes, yet he lost three presidential elections’

As battle between Buhari and Tinubu superiority contest heats up, Senior Special Assistant to The President on Media and Publicity, Temitope Ajayi, has replied the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, who said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu did not make former President Muhammadu Buhari President in 2015.
In a post on his social media account, the Presidential aide said even though Buhari had his ā12 million captive Northern votesā he lost the presidential elections in 2003, 2007, and 2011 before 2015.
The Presidential aide also said but for the intervention of Tinubu at the All Progressives Congress, APC primary election at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos, in 2014, who mobilised the APC governors and the South West delegates to move Buhariās way, he would not have won the Presidential primary.

Ajayi, who accused Mustapha of doing a disservice to our recent history, wrote, āLetās even leave the general election that the then General Buhari won to become president in 2015.
āThere is no way he would have won the election to be president without first becoming the presidential candidate of his party APC.

āGeneral Buhari would not have won the APC primary election at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos, in 2014 without President Tinubu, who mobilised the APC governors and the South West delegates to move Buhariās way.
āFormer SGF Boss Mustapha did a disservice to our recent history with that unnecessary glib at the book launch today.
āEvery effort and support that made it possible for President Buhari to win should never be diminished.
