PDP NWC set to review Rivers caretaker committee list

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has undertaken to review the Rivers State Caretaker Committee list which has been a source of contention between Governor Similaye Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.

The decision to review the list was taken after a meeting between the party’s governors and the NWC in Abuja, before the party’s Caucus meeting which held in Abuja, late on Wednesday.

National Publicity Secretary of the party, Hon. Debo Ologunagba read the one item resolution of the meeting.

He said, “The issue of Rivers State Caretaker Committee List was raised at the meeting of PDP Governors and the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) and it was resolved that a political solution should be applied to resolve all the issues related thereto.

“Consequently, the PDP Governors’ Forum directed that the National Working Committee of the PDP revisit the issue of the Rivers State Caretaker Committee List.”
