Gov Okpebholo Revealed: How Bishop David Abioye healed me of protracted sickness

The Governor of Edo State, Mr. Monday Okpebholo, recently shared a powerful personal testimony about his journey to healing during a heartfelt address to the congregation of the Living Word Conquerors Global Assembly.

This assembly is led by the esteemed Bishop David Abioye, the Bishop who left Living Faith Church Worldwide, and the event took place on Saturday, July 25, as part of a special program aptly named “Night of Peace.”

During his speech, Governor Okpebholo recounted the struggles he faced with a long-standing illness that had significantly affected his quality of life.

He described how his failing health led him to seek the guidance and prayers of Bishop Abioye several years ago, hoping for a miraculous turnaround. The encounter with the Bishop proved to be life-changing, ultimately leading to his healing.

In his address, the Governor reflected on the impact that Bishop Abioye’s prayers and encouragement had on his well-being, expressing deep gratitude for the transformative experience.

Notably, this moment of sharing his healing journey comes at a time when he has recently faced criticism online for his confrontational stance regarding the visit of Mr. Peter Obi to Edo State. Nonetheless, Okpebholo’s focus during the event remained on the message of hope and faith that he experienced through his connection with Bishop Abioye.

He said, “In 2007 I was very sick. I had tried every means to get healing no solution. So I came to the Bishop. Someone gave me a note to meet him.

“I was in front of the office. Bishop came out and said in the presence of a lot of people, we were about 30. And he said, may the Lord heal you with testimonies in your mouth. That was the end of the sickness’

Okpebholo said after that experience some people came to meet him urging him to contest for the Senate. He toyed with the idea but said in his heart that he would not “share it with mummy (wife of Bishop Abioye) because she was always telling me don’t go into politics.”

He said however that he was still bothered about the thought of contesting that he decided to share it with Bishop Abioye while also praying that he would not be directed to his wife..

When he got to Abioye, he was asked to kneel down. He recalled, “Bishop said, you want to contest? He then said from primary 1 to primary 2 peace. That was it. That is the same peace of tonight”

He said further that those who were at the event would become channels of peace because they have gotten an impartation and “it will go a long way.”

After sharing his testimony Bishop Abioye stepped on the rostrum and asked the congregation to pray for him. He then prayed for him asking that God would give him favour and wisdom to rule Edo State.

EXPOSED: Prophet who allegedly made Adeleke governor reveals scary prophecy

In the midst of growing uncertainty regarding the reelection prospects of Osun State’s Governor, Ademola Adeleke, a new prophecy has surfaced concerning the fate of the charismatic known for his dancing.

Speculation regarding Adeleke’s political future has intensified, especially following a noteworthy visit to President Bola Tinubu’s Ikoyi residence in Lagos on June 3. During this meeting, Adeleke was accompanied by his brother, Adedeji Adeleke, and his nephew, popular musician Davido.

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has publicly dismissed any possibility of Adeleke joining their party, labeling him a “Trojan horse” and a “liability” to their political agenda.

In response, Governor Adeleke took to his official social media platform, X, to express his unwavering commitment to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). He announced that after a strategic meeting with the PDP leadership caucus in Osogbo, he had received their endorsement for a second term in the gubernatorial elections scheduled for 2026.

Adding a dramatic twist to the unfolding political saga, Prophet Bisi Olujobi, a prominent Nigerian spiritual leader and the founder of the Wisdom Church International based in Ketu, Lagos, has revealed a startling prophecy.

He asserted that despite his previous spiritual endeavors that allegedly facilitated Adeleke’s ascent to the governorship during his first term, the governor has yet to express any gratitude for his prophetic guidance and intervention.

Olujobi’s remarks hint at underlying tensions and expectations within the spiritual and political spheres, leaving many to speculate about the implications of his unfulfilled prophecy.

His words:

“The dancing governor will fail in his reelection bid if care is not taken. He still has a lot to do if he wants to guarantee his second term. Though we hear he plans to defect to the APC, but he must know that, wehether he leaves or not, he still needs to seek spiritual guidance. He needs more prayers. And Osun as a state needs to be very careful. I can see issues, serious fighting, coming up that will break the state into four. The south and north of Osun state needs to be careful so there won’t be conflict in the state and I pray the Lord will uphold them.

“As for Adeleke, I do not want to talk too much about him. He has not been appreciative of my efforts. When people were saying he could never be governor and all odds were stacked aqgainst him, his team came here and said, Baba, what are you going to do for us? I did what we needed to do and I assured them he would be elected governor and that was exactly what happened. But soon, he totally forgot about all that. I still remember the day I went to his place with my team to go and deliver message to him, we were there all through the day, interceding for him. But he has forgotten all those efforts. I have nothing against him. I pray God shows him mercy. But he must be prepared for a very turbulent 2nd term election which may result into defeat for him,” Olujobi told CityPeople.

2027: Fresh prophecy gives verdict on Tinubu’s running mate

The political challenges surrounding the former governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, has become increasingly precarious as discussions among party leaders suggest a potential shift in the dynamics of Nigeria’s 2027 presidential election, thepapers.ng reports

Speculation is rife regarding the possibility that Shettima may be replaced as the running mate to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he gears up for his re-election bid.

This scenario has raised concerns among many stakeholders in the northern region, particularly from the northeast, which is the stronghold of Shettima and the area that produced the Vice President.

Thepapers.ng reports that despite these worries, it appears that strategic calculations are at play, particularly with the recent political maneuvers by former Kano State governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, who is reportedly preparing to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Although the presidential election remains two years away, the chatter surrounding Shettima’s potential ousting from the ticket has intensified.

Adding to this growing narrative is a prophetic pronouncement made by one of Nigeria’s most respected spiritual figures, Prophet Bisi Olujobi, who is the founder and General Overseer of Wisdom Church International, based in Ketu, Lagos.

Prophet Olujobi has claimed that it is divinely revealed that President Tinubu will drop Kashim Shettima from the vice-presidential slot for the upcoming election.

Hear what he said:

“The Vice President will be dropped. His people will influence him to rise against the President and things will not go as planned for him. He needs to be more prayerful. It’s not the President that will insist on dopping him, but his own people will work against him and pressure Tinubu to drop him at all cost.”

Meanwhile, former political adviser to President Bola Tinubu, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has faulted the President’s silence over persistent rumours that he plans to drop Vice President Kashim Shettima ahead of the 2027 general election.

‘I don’t believe in tithing’ – Fatoyinbo reveals compelling story

'I don’t believe in tithing' - Fatoyinbo reveals compelling story

The Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, has revealed a compelling story of how a respected Christian, who had long doubted the principle of tithing, eventually changed her view after a personal encounter with the Holy Spirit.

Speaking during a recent sermon streamed on YouTube, Fatoyinbo emphasized the danger of selective obedience to Scripture. Quoting James 1:22, he admonished Christians to “be doers of the word and not hearers only,” adding that many believers deceive themselves by avoiding parts of the Bible that challenge them.

“One person of great integrity told me, he said, ‘Pastor, I’ve been a Christian for a long time. I don’t believe in tithing. I don’t believe in it,’” Fatoyinbo recounted. “But I got home after you preached on Tuesday and I studied, and the Holy Ghost told me you are saying the truth.”

Fatoyinbo highlighted that many Christians, including those active in church, fail to apply God’s word in practice. “She’s been a Christian for a long time. When you look at her business, you’d say, ‘Ah, but she goes to church. She loves God.’ But she’s not doing God’s word,” he explained.

He noted that such views often stem from intellectual arguments rather than scriptural study. “Somebody told her, probably someone who never studied the Bible. That’s how some people are misled,” he said.

Fatoyinbo urged believers to act on divine principles rather than remain stuck in debate. “Don’t just get excited about new revelations. Step into deep waters. Do exploits. You’re not making way because you’re not making moves,” he stated.

Popular gospel singer burns cheque in Pastor Adefarasin’s church after ministration, gives reason

Published

Prophet Joel Ogebe, the leader of Sounds of Salem, has revealed that he burnt a cheque handed to him as an honorarium after ministering at The African Praise Experience (TAPE) Overflow 2025.

Naija News reports that the event took place on Sunday, July 13, at House on the Rock Church in Lagos.

The church, under the leadership of Pastor Paul Adefarasin, hosted various gospel artists including Dunsin Oyekan, Onos Ariyo, Nathaniel Bassey and the Sounds of Salem team.

After their performance, a cheque was presented to the group as a show of appreciation, which Prophet Ogebe received but later destroyed.

In a video now circulating online, he explained that he saw the event as a divine moment and not a business engagement.

According to him, he had already decided with his team not to accept any form of payment for their service, choosing instead to focus on the spiritual impact.

He said: “After the ministration, the man of God there is a father figure, so he honoured us with a cheque, saying ‘no you guys have to take this’. So I collected it, placed it somewhere to burn it. I told myself that I will never cash the cheque.

“I told my men, we will not touch this money. This is not a payment, it’s an oblation unto God.

“There are certain Kairos moments in your life that God brings you to, not for gain but for growth. This was one of them. I saw what that House carried, the possibilities of grace on the house. I didn’t come here for money; I came for impartation. I need reward, not payment. What I’m looking for, only God can confirm.

“A man with a needy mindset will take the cheque and say ‘God has prospered me,’ but the truth is, that money will finish. What you really need is the mantle, not the money. And if you’re not sensitive, you’ll miss the impartation chasing after the payment.”

EXPOSED: How RCCG pastor run away with $8000, abandoned wife

EXPOSED: How RCCG pastor absconded with $8000, abandoned wife

A recent incident has come to light involving a pastor from the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), who reportedly absconded with $8,000, leaving his wife behind.

This situation has sparked discussions about the moral integrity of some church leaders, with many arguing that true accountability should begin at the altar.

The pastor’s actions raise concerns not only about his personal integrity but also about the faithfulness expected from those in spiritual leadership roles.

As stories like this emerge, they underscore the importance of examining the character and conduct of religious figures and the impact of their actions on their congregations and families.

Wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Mrs Folu Adeboye has recounted how a pastor in the church absconded with 8000 dollars given to him for the purpose of missions and also abandoned his wife in South Africa to marry another woman in the US, as reported by Church Times Nigeria.

She gave the account while ministering recently during a programme organised for men in the church.
A clip of the event which was shared online was monitored by Church Times.

In the message, Mrs Adeboye said the incident that led to the action of the pastor happened when she went to Cape Town, South Africa for missions and had to preach in the RCCG parish where the man was pastor. The place used for service was an eatery

As she was ministering, a woman came and was packing the chairs at the venue apparently telling the worshippers their time was up since the place was rented.

Mrs Adeboye said she was taken aback by the action of the woman and asked the pastor what it would cost to get a permanent site for the parish.

The pastor whom she described as an Ekiti pastor told her with just 8000 dollars they could begin the process of raising funds to buy a permanent site for the parish.

He told her tourism was a thriving business in South Africa that the money would be used to buy a fairly used vehicle and handed over to a tourism agency that will be giving returns to the church which would eventually be used to buy a permanent site.

Mrs Adeboye was excited at the suggestion and quickly got the money and handed over to him.

Unknown to her, the pastor had a different plan. As soon as he collected the money, he travelled to the US and left his wife in South Africa.

Mrs Adeboye said the pastor went to the US to marry another woman ‘ The woman she abandoned in South Africa is presently in a terrible state now almost running mad’ Mrs Adeboye lamented.

She then asked the men saying, ‘RCCG men, what are we going to do? Are we going to continue with such a lying spirit, a deceitful spirit to the God of the kingdom?” The men responded, with a chorus nooo.

She then added, ‘that is why we have this landmark meeting. We must go back to the old path where we look up to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.’

She continued, ‘ We must get to the point where we say wherever he leads we follow. We were in this bush (referring the redemption camp). For three years there was no light. We went back to the days of lantern and we were grinding with stone whereas where we were coming from we had grinding machine, we had washing machine.”

While noting that they may not know where God would take them to, he assured that they have a bright future only if they remain faithful.
