Two Nigerians arrested for robbery in UK

Two individuals from Nigeria, Emmanuel Sejilola and Damilola Odunoren, were recently arrested along with other members of a criminal gang known as the Rolex Ripper.
This gang was responsible for targeting individuals who owned luxury watches in the United Kingdom.
To catch the so-called Rolex Rippers behind a string of violent watch thefts, Scotland Yard deployed an unprecedented operation. A squad of undercover officers posed as victims to apprehend the gang.
According to the Daily Mail, the gang stole three hundred watches worth £4 million over a period of six months as part of “organized opportunist” attacks in central London.
The Telegraph UK’s report notes that gangs with specialist knowledge of luxury watches typically target vulnerable individuals who are alone or under the influence of alcohol.
They commonly steal high-end brands such as Rolex, Audemars Piguet, and Patek Philippe. These gangs are a significant concern for law enforcement officials and pose a real threat to the safety of the general public.
