NAHME to clampdown on fake, unregistered herbal dealers 

The National Association of Herbal Medicine Employers (NAHME) says, it will embark operation clamp down on fake and unregistered herbal medicine dealers across the country.

In a letter to the Inspector General of Police dated 7th September, 2023, jointly signed by Chief Dr, Yemi Areola and Oduyori Francis, President and Secretary respectively, the association said NAHME is a trade union registered under the provisions of the trade unions acts’ CAPT.14 trade unions amendment act 2005.

According to the duo, the association is saddled with the responsibilities of healing and protecting lives through herbs and checkmating the activities of its members and to ensure that their modus operandi is ethical and in accordance with the spelt out rules of the association.

He stated that it has become so alarming, the increase of fake and unregistered herbal medicine dealers nation wide.

According to him, this unethical act, if not promptly and proactively checked will cause serious harm to the society health wise.

Stressing that bad eggs and unscrupulous element were detected and flushed out of the society and the activities put to an end in the interest of lives of the citizens that relied on herbal means for treatment of their ailments.
