Jesus’ birthday controversy: Iran’s Supreme Leader sends powerful message to Christians

According to a report by Iran International, Iran’s Supreme Leader, in a heartfelt message on his official website, underscored the importance of resisting oppression and confronting global arrogance.
The Supreme Leader stated that if Jesus were alive today, he would actively oppose oppressive leaders and condemn the suffering of billions caused by hegemonic powers through war, corruption, and violence.
This message, shared on Wednesday evening, reflects the Supreme Leader’s commitment to social justice and his interpretation of Jesus’ teachings as a call for resistance against tyranny and support for the oppressed.
“If Jesus (PBUH) were among us today, he wouldn’t have hesitated even a moment to fight the leaders of oppression and global arrogance nor would he have tolerated the hunger and displacement of billions of people pushed by hegemonic powers into war, corruption, and violence,” the statement read.
The Supreme Leader emphasized that Jesus’ teachings serve as a source of inspiration for both Christians and Muslims, with his message of love, compassion, and justice being universal and timeless.
