Algeria vs. Burkina Faso: How to watch AFCON, TV channel, live stream

After slipping up in its opening game of the Africa Cup of Nations, Algeria is in need of a win against Burkina Faso on Saturday.

The Fennec Foxes took the lead against Angola in their opening game of Group D play, but were pegged back in the second half en route to a disappointing 1-1 draw.

That leaves Djamel Belmadi’s side searching for three points against Burkina Faso as it aims to avoid another shock group-stage exit after suffering that fate in 2022.

Burkina Faso, meanwhile, barely got off to a winning start against Mauritania, as Bertrand Traoré’s 96th-minute penalty sealed a 1-0 victory.

The Stallions, then, could take full control of Group D with a win, but Algeria, the 2019 AFCON champion, will be looking for a win to turn things around.

These teams met twice in qualifying for the 2022 World Cup, with both matches ending in a draw.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the match.
