INEC Uploads 1,258 Ekiti Election Results as Winner Emerges

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is currently exhibiting a significant lead in the recent election based on the preliminary results uploaded by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
As reported, the APC has secured 84.1% of the votes according to the results that have been made available on the INEC Result Viewing portal (IREV).
As of the latest updates, results from 1,258 out of 2,445 polling units have been recorded.

A detailed analysis of the votes reveals that the APC has garnered 78,979 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has received 10,736 votes, and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has acquired 2,964 votes.
In a separate incident, youths at a polling unit in Ekiti State expressed their discontent by chasing away operatives from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) who were present to monitor the governorship election.
This event took place at Polling Unit 10, Ward B, in Iyin-Ekiti.

A video capturing the confrontation shows voters questioning the necessity of the EFCC’s presence, which was intended to oversee the election and prevent vote-buying.
However, the voters insisted that the EFCC officials vacate the polling area.
