Saraki in Fresh Moves Ahead 2027 Presidency

Former Senate President Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has been actively working to strengthen the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State.
In the past week, he conducted a series of meetings with party leaders, ward executives, and stakeholders in Ilorin West and Ilorin East Local Government Areas.
These gatherings, which took place around Iftar and Maghrib prayers, aimed to enhance grassroots structures and increase voter registration in preparation for the upcoming 2027 elections.
Officials have highlighted that these engagements are part of a strategic approach to foster closer interactions among party members, promote unity, and encourage active participation throughout the state.
During discussions with party supporters, Saraki emphasized the importance of organization and voter mobilization as key components for achieving electoral success.
“Organisation, mobilisation, and ensuring that our supporters are duly registered must remain our collective focus,” he said.
Ward representatives updated him on local activities and assured him of their commitment to strengthening the party’s grassroots network.
He also met former councillors, supervising councillors, and ex-local government chairpersons, calling for reconciliation and unity within the PDP.
“The PDP remains a shared home for all of us. Let us put the past behind us and move forward together,” he said.
In a separate engagement on Thursday, Saraki met young women from Ilorin South LGA, emphasising the importance of youth and women’s inclusion in leadership.
He also continued his humanitarian outreach through the Ile-Arugbo initiative, providing food support for elderly women in Ilorin.
