Tears as PDP Senatorial Candidate Dies — What Nigerians Need to Know

The Lagos State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has experienced the significant loss of its former Lagos East senatorial candidate, Alhaja Saidat Odofin-Fafowora.
She also served as the PDP candidate for Ikorodu Central in the council elections held on July 12, 2025.
Alhaja Odofin passed away on January 19 at the age of 55. In a statement regarding her passing, Barrister Dr. Amos Fawole, the Lagos State PDP Executive Chairman elect, expressed that the party has lost a remarkable individual, characterizing this event as a somber moment in the party’s history in Lagos.
Hon. Odofin-Fafowora was a dedicated member of the PDP in the Ikorodu local government area, having represented the community as a senatorial candidate on two occasions.
She was well-respected within the party and recognized for her philanthropic efforts, positively impacting many supporters and residents in the Ikorodu area.
