Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed has officially stated that he will remain with the Labour Party and will not join Peter Obi in a new political endeavor.

This announcement addresses ongoing speculation regarding his political future in light of the upcoming 2027 general election.

He emphasized that his political aspirations are firmly tied to the Labour Party and that he does not intend to follow Obi’s departure from the party.

Peter Obi recently joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which is part of a coalition aiming to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming elections.

However, Baba-Ahmed made it clear that he will not pursue a similar path, citing his personal convictions and long-term political objectives as reasons for his decision.
