Rivers Crisis: Fresh Plot to Stop Fubara Begins as Wike Meets Rivers PDP, APC Chairmen

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike met with the state chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and and the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chukwuemeka Aaron and Chief Tony Okocha respectively.
According to a Facebook post by Wike’s media aide Lere Olayinka, the three leaders met on Monday morning.
DAILY POST had reported that the Tanimu Turaki-led leadership of the PDP, in Rivers recently collapsed its structure into the Aaron Chukwuemeka-led faction pledging allegiance to Wike.
The alignment was made known on Friday when Wike visited Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA.
Wike has been touring the 23 Local Government Areas of the state in a bid to recapture the state’s political structure ahead of 2027 elections.
It is no longer news that FCT minister Nyesom Wike and Rivers State governor Similayi Fubara have renew their battle of supremacy in the state after the governor decamped to APC recently.
The FCT minister so already plotting several moves to ensure the incumbent governor could not return for reelection in 2027.
