Peter Odili, ex-Rivers State Governor, has said it was God that destined Sir Siminalayi Fubara to become the governor of the state.

This potential shake-up could signal the onset of a renewed political struggle within the state, as Fubara seeks to reassert his authority and reshape the administration to align more closely with his vision and goals. He said failure to do this, the Governor should invoke his full powers as the Executive Governor of the State
