Mourinho sacks again after one season in Turkey

Renowned Turkish football club, Fenerbahce Sports Club, has officially announced the departure of their Portuguese manager, Jose Mourinho, after just one season at the helm.
In a detailed statement shared on their X account on Friday, the club revealed that they had mutually agreed to part ways with the iconic coach, who is celebrated for his stints at prestigious clubs like Chelsea and Real Madrid.
Mourinho was appointed as Fenerbahce’s manager at the start of the 2024/2025 season, stepping into the role with high expectations.
The statement expressed gratitude, noting, “We have parted ways with Jose Mourinho, who has been the manager of our Professional Football A Team since the 2024-2025 season. We thank him for his efforts for our team and wish him success in his future career.”
At 62 years old, Mourinho joined Fenerbahce in June 2024.
Unfortunately, his time with the team concluded earlier than anticipated due to a combination of inconsistent performances in both domestic leagues and European competitions, leaving fans and management alike reflecting on what could have been.
