Co-founder of Agape Christian Ministries, Bishop Funke Felix-Adejumo, has urged African women to fully embrace their sexuality without hesitation, challenging traditional views that often discourage open conversations about intimacy.

In a video shared on Instagram on Tuesday, Felix-Adejumo highlighted the importance of maintaining a fulfilling and vibrant marriage. She encouraged women to abandon societal restrictions and openly communicate their desires with their spouses.

She emphasised that mutual pleasure and honest discussions are key to a healthy and lasting relationship.

“I like sex. If I don’t, how will I have children? And you are just pretending, you like sex. African culture has told you that a woman should not show that she enjoys sex, otherwise they will call her a prostitute,” she stated.

Felix-Adejumo stressed the need to reject outdated mindsets that hinder genuine marital connection.

“When the man is touching you, you’re happy. So, the first thing is to disbelieve that in your mind, otherwise, you’ll be causing problems in your marriage,” she added.

The clergywoman encouraged wives to be more expressive during intimate moments, urging them to shed reservations and embrace the beauty of physical connection.

“Tell yourself, sex is good. I want my husband. And when you’re having sex with your husband, don’t pretend and just be like missionary. Talk, moan, s3x is good,” she said.

Felix-Adejumo also warned against suppressing one’s desires, explaining that such attitudes could weaken a marriage.

“You cannot believe that African mentality. Let’s change it. The devil is using it to destroy marriages because that’s the highest level of intimacy,” she said.

Felix-Adejumo concluded by advising women to be affectionate and reassuring with their husbands.

“Tickle your husband, touch him when he’s making love to you. When he finishes, tell him he did a good job,” she said.

The Christ Apostolic Church has responded to the message of Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo during which he implied that Apostle Ayo Babalola died a poor man and that his children perhaps would not be happy where they are now

In a statement shared on the Facebook page of the Church signed by Pastor Ade Alawode (Director of Publicity, Christ Apostolic Church) the church maintained that it is important that the issues raised by Pastor Fatoyinbo be addressed clinically for the sake of posterity.

The church noted that in one of the trending messages on YouTube, Pastor Faroyinbo “acknowledged that Apostle Babalola was highly anointed but “had no money”, and then went on to ask sarcastically, “Where are his children?” — a question that was both insensitive and ill-informed.”

Making reference to scriptures, the church noted that it was wrong for Fatoyinbo who is the founder of Commonwealth of Zion Ministry based in Abuja, to have equated anointing with material posterity

In doing so, Fatoyinbo was accused of promoting what the Bible refers to as Simony which is the monetization of spiritual gifts

“The Scriptures do not teach that money is a sign of anointing. Rather, “the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil” statement noted, wondering which Bible Fatoyinbo read and preach from.

On the Question of Apostle Babalola’s Children, the church stated, “Ethically speaking, Apostle Babalola had children. Simple arithmetic should help you understand that they would be advanced in age by now; possibly your grandparents’ age. What did you hope to achieve with the mocking question, “Where are the children of Babalola?”

“Your statement reflects more on the kind of company you keep, but as a preacher of the Word, shouldn’t your conduct and utterances be guided by Scripture?

“Where in the Bible does your brand of prosperity theology originate — one that demeans people for not being wealthy? Isn’t such a message encouraging greed, corruption, and godlessness, especially in a nation already struggling with moral decay?”

Setting the Record Straight
The church then went on to set the records straight stating some other facts about the late Apostle Babalola .

The statement informed, “Apostle Babalola was called by God on October 10, 1928, at the age of 24. His ministry spanned Western and Midwestern Nigeria, and extended to the Gold Coast (now Ghana), marked by undeniable signs and wonder

“He was blessed, but not materialistic or greedy. He gave lands to the Church, supported the education of many, fed the poor, and lived sacrificially. He housed more people than just his biological children.

“When Queen Elizabeth II visited Nigeria in February 1956, Apostle Babalola was among the honored guests. Would a man in rags be granted such recognition by a colonial government? Certainly not.

“He was no fundraiser, yet God supplied his needs. His diaries are filled with divine provisions like: “Ipese Olorun loni: £100.00, £50.00…”

“He lived in a befitting home, drove one of the best Ford Jeeps of his time, and funded weddings, education, and apprenticeship programs — all without exploiting the pulpit

His children and legacy
His children that are still alive according to the statement are: Mama Eunice Wuraola Ogini and Apeke Adeniyi. “they are alive, blessed, fulfilled, and quietly serving the Lord in their respective churches. They are not loud, ostentatious, or greedy

“Apostle Babalola’s anointing impacted generations. More than 66 years after his passing, his legacy continues to inspire and bless countless lives and ministries. That is true impact.”

While stating that the measure of a believer’s anointing is not in material accumulation, but in sacrificial service, the church in the statement asked, “When Peter said in Acts 3:6, “Silver and gold I do not have…” — was he still anointed or not?”

The church further went on to quote several scriptures that warn the believers against greed and covetousness

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has articulated his vision regarding the manner of his eventual passing.

He envisions departing peacefully on a Sunday, following his attendance at church services and after enjoying his preferred meal, pounded yam.

During his address on the fourth day of the church’s ongoing International Convention, themed “The Overcomers,” Pastor Adeboye emphasized that death does not invariably result from prolonged illness.

He expressed his belief that his passing would be both sudden and painless.

“I will die on a Sunday after attending service, eat my beloved pounded yam, and then pass on without any sickness,” he declared.

The cleric noted that he first shared this vision two years ago and was repeating it to reassure believers that death can be peaceful for those in Christ.

Delivering a sermon titled “Possess Your Possessions”, Adeboye urged Christians to actively claim what is rightfully theirs in Christ, warning that spiritual blessings often have to be fought for.

Drawing from the biblical story of the Israelites taking the Promised Land, he said:

“In many cases, you may have to fight for things that are already yours.”

He listed healing, prosperity, fruitfulness, and long life as areas where believers must resist spiritual opposition.

“Your greatest friend, Jesus Christ, paid a great price to purchase your healing. Yet there is a thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy,” he said, citing John 10:10. “Long life is yours, but the devil wants to kill you with all he has. You must fight to live.”

On prosperity, Adeboye declared:

“The One who owns the earth and its fullness, and owns all the silver and gold, paid a terrible price so that you wouldn’t be poor. As long as you want to remain poor, you will remain poor.”

He criticised the double standard faced by successful Christians:

“If you make it as a Christian, they criticise you. If you die poor, they say, ‘Where’s your God?’”

Referencing biblical figures like Rachel and Hannah, who overcame barrenness through persistent prayer, he urged believers to reject all forms of spiritual oppression.

Concluding his message, Adeboye used the story of Jacob wrestling with an angel as a call to spiritual perseverance:

“It is what we tolerate that disturbs us. Stop tolerating sickness, poverty, barrenness, or premature death. Fight to possess your possessions, it’s your spiritual duty, made possible by Christ’s sacrifice.”

Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has cautioned seven Nigerian governors about their second-term ambitions, stating that their return to office isn’t guaranteed.

The governors warned include those of Akwa Ibom, Delta, Enugu, Cross River, Ondo, Kaduna, and Zamfara.

Primate Ayodele, in a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, revealed that these governors will have issues actualising their second-term ambition, making it known that except they pray and do all that is needed.

“The governors of Akwa Ibom, Delta, Enugu, Cross River, Kaduna, Zamfara, and Ondo must work well to get a second term in office.

“It’s not certain for them except they work hard and pray. This is a hint of what they should be expecting.

“They need to work very well so that they won’t lose their second-term ambition,” he revealed.

Primate Ayodele also warned the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, to be careful and prayerful so that his second term as Senate President will not be traded.

The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) has rejected the election of Rt. Rev. Cherry Vann, an openly lesbian cleric, as the Archbishop of Wales.

The Nigerian Anglicans described the election of a lesbian as Archbishop as a “serious departure from biblical teaching” and a threat to the unity of the global Anglican Communion.

The Anglican Church Primate in Nigeria, Ndukuba, said Vann’s election signaled “spiritual decadence” and “an outright abandonment of the faith once delivered to the saints.”
