Coalition: ‘Not Atiku or Obi’ – Analyst states why Tinubu will remain President in 2027

As Nigeria prepares for its eagerly awaited presidential election, a well-known prophet has delivered a serious warning to a specific politician, strongly advising him to refrain from participating in the race.

Comrade Bashiru, a public affairs analyst and esteemed journalist, has articulated that the opposition coalition under the African Democratic Congress will not be able to effectively unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general election without the involvement of the party’s sole representative in the House of Representatives, Leke Abejide.

Bashiru made this observation during a briefing in Abuja over the weekend. He emphasized that Abejide, who serves as the chairman of the Committee on Customs and Excise in the 10th National Assembly of Nigeria, must be included in the party’s strategic discussions and decisions.

“Consequently, it is imperative to categorically state that all efforts, time, and resources committed to the coalition are futile in the absence of Hon. Leke,” he added.

This comes as the opposition coalition under ADC picked the former Nigerian Senate President, David Mark, as interim chairman in a push to unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Political heavyweights such as Nigeria’s former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, and the ex-governors of Kaduna and Rivers, Nasir El-Rufai and Rotimi Amaechi, and others have adopted ADC.

However, ADC party members, including its presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Dumebi Kachikwu, have rejected the David Mark-led interim leadership.
