TRENDING VIDEO: Victor Osimhen replies Primate Ayodele over dark prophecy

Published

As the football community buzzed with excitement over Victor Osimhen’s recent departure from Serie A giants Napoli—marked by a controversial transfer saga. Amid the celebrations, a Nigerian prophet emerged with a disquieting prediction regarding Osimhen’s future at Galatasaray, raising eyebrows and fueling speculation.

The prophecy, which quickly gained traction on various social media platforms, caught the attention of Osimhen’s camp, prompting a strong and defiant response.

Representatives for the striker did not hold back, issuing a sharp rebuttal directed at the prophet’s unsettling claims. Emotions ran high as they sought to defend Osimhen’s reputation and dismiss any ill intentions behind the prediction, highlighting their determination to protect the player during this pivotal moment in his career.

Meet 5 Nigerian footballers who have played for Galatasaray before Victor Osimhen

Primate Elijah Ayodele, a Nigerian cleric, stirred controversy with a scary prophecy about Victor Osimhen’s recent transfer to Galatasaray.

Speaking during a sermon at his INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church located in Lagos, Ayodele stated that the 26-year-old striker would not enjoy the new transfer. Osimhen sealed a permanent move from Napoli to the Turkish giants in July 2025 for €75 million ($87.7 million).

Inside Osimhen’s deal with Galatasaray

The transfer includes €40 million upfront and €35 million in installments by 2026, plus a 10% sell-on clause, which is a record-breaking transfer for Turkish football.

The Super Eagles forward signed a four-year contract with a €15 million annual salary and a €1 million loyalty bonus.

This comes after a prolific 2024/25 loan spell, where he scored 37 goals and provided eight assists in 41 appearances, helping the club secure the Turkish Super Lig and Turkish Cup.

Several elite clubs had shown interest in signing the star including Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain, but all negotiations collapsed due to Napoli’s high demands and the player’s high wage expectations.

London club Chelsea explored multiple deal structures but couldn’t meet his financial terms, while French giants PSG’s €220 million joint offer for Osimhen and teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia fell through.

Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal also pursued the striker aggressively, offering €75 million and a €30 million annual salary, but he rejected the move, prioritising European football, per Yahoo Sports.

A previous $170 million bid from Al-Ahli in 2024 was similarly declined, as Osimhen’s agent emphasized his desire to stay in Europe.

These rejections, coupled with Napoli’s fractured relationship with the former Lille of France striker paved the way for Galatasaray.

However, there are concerns over Primate Ayodele’s prophecy on the player who has emotional connection to Galatasaray, partly driven by his daughter’s affection for the fans.

The prophecy suggests potential challenges, possibly related to the high expectations or the pressure of a record transfer.

Ayodele said in a viral Instagram footage: “The four-year deal is failed. You will not enjoy it. You better have a rethink. Who gave you that advice Osimhen? Oshi lo dey yen o.”

Osimhen’s camp said: ‘I think this man should just focus on his usual politicians, he wants attention but he can’t one, he should focus on Liverpool prediction”, the source sounded off.

Tinubu’s remarks, delivered by Shettima at the reception noted, “Beyond being ambassadors of our nation and symbols of excellence, you have reminded us all of the power of sports to unite a diverse nation. Your victory is a testament to what we can achieve when we work together. You have brought home not just a trophy, but valuable lessons for all Nigerians.

“It is a great honour, on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, to welcome our formidable D’Tigress to the State House. “My dear daughters, you faced challenges bravely, especially in the final quarter, responding not with panic but with poise. When you wore the green and white, it was more than just a uniform—you wore it with purpose, and now you wear the crown of African basketball for the fifth consecutive time.”

The President hailed Rena Wakama’s strength and inspiring young girls in the country.

“Coach Rena Wakama, you embody the evolution of leadership in Nigerian sports. Your quiet strength and remarkable achievements have shattered ceilings and inspired countless young girls across Nigeria. You truly deserve your accolades as the best coach in Africa and beyond.
