FALL OUT: How Senator Tanko Almakura paid N20 million for APC chairmanship – Party chieftain

Sunny Sylvester, a well-known figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC), has publicly voiced his profound dissatisfaction with the party’s management of its internal affairs.
This discontent comes in light of the substantial financial sacrifices made by devoted party members who have invested both resources and time in support of the organization.
In a recent interview with Trust TV, Sylvester articulated his concern over what he perceives as a considerable neglect from the party leadership, coupled with a troubling lack of acknowledgment for the efforts of loyal members.
He expressed his frustration by highlighting the stark reality that despite their significant contributions to strengthening the party’s structure, many members feel overlooked and undervalued.
Sylvester provided specific examples to underscore his point, revealing that Senator Tanko Al-Makura had invested a hefty sum of N20 million to secure his nomination form for a political position.
In addition, Sylvester himself contributed N10 million to contest for the role of Deputy National Chairman within the party. Despite these considerable financial commitments, Sylvester lamented that such sacrifices have not resulted in the respect or recognition they deserve among their peers in the party hierarchy.
Speaking during an interview with Trust TV, Sylvester voiced frustration over what he described as neglect and lack of recognition, even after contributing significantly to the party’s structure.
He revealed that Senator Tanko Al-Makura paid N20 million for his nomination form, while he himself paid N10 million to contest for the position of Deputy National Chairman.
Yet, according to him, such sacrifices have not earned them due acknowledgment or respect within the party’s ranks.
According to him, “Sen Almakura, he paid for this form, N20 million; I paid N10 million for deputy national chairman. Nobody says I’m important. Fine, but this should be done right because I’m embarrassed at what my party is doing, and if I may come in here, I’ll be digressing. President Tinubu, if you ask me, as exposed as I am, I’ll tell you that President Tinubu has been cloned.”
