Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests, and esteemed citizens, it is with great honor that I stand before you today to present the proposed budget for the year 2025, aptly themed “Budget of Fulfilment.”

This gathering reflects our shared commitment to addressing challenges, consolidating achievements, and advancing our collective vision for Apapa Iganmu LCDA.

This budget focuses on three pillars: sustainable growth, advancing development, and economic empowerment, building on the fulfilling experiences of the past.

Sustainable Growth: We understand the importance of economic growth for the well-being of our people. However, this growth must be sustainable, preserving the environment while fostering socio-economic development. To this end, we are prioritizing eco-friendly initiatives, waste reduction, and enhanced revenue generation to deliver greater dividends of democracy.

Advancing Development: Bridging social and economic inequalities remains a priority. Our investments will continue in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and other critical sectors, ensuring access to basic services and opportunities for all.

Empowerment: Economic empowerment, social inclusion, and human development are at the core of this administration. We will provide skill acquisition opportunities, financial support, and food palliatives to the vulnerable while fostering inclusive decision-making.

This occasion is particularly significant as it marks the final budget presentation of my administration. What began as a journey of aspiration has been sustained by your unwavering support and collective commitment. Together, we have achieved remarkable milestones and laid the groundwork for sustainable progress.

Distinguished members of the Legislative Council, I express my profound gratitude for the synergy between the Executive and Legislative arms. Your dedication has been instrumental in implementing our policies and programs, steering Apapa Iganmu LCDA toward greatness.

Despite sharing detailed achievements during the November Stakeholders’ Meeting, I have attached a summary of these accomplishments for emphasis. The recognition and awards received, including the Best Performing Female-Led Local Government Executive Chairman by the Nigeria Grassroots Governance Summit, highlight the visible transformation of Apapa Iganmu LCDA under my leadership.

In conclusion, I reaffirm my unwavering commitment to Apapa Iganmu LCDA and its resilient people. While this marks the end of my budget presentations, my dedication to our community remains steadfast. I pledge to continue serving in any capacity and contributing to the growth and prosperity of our people.
