ThePAPERS can authoritatively reveal that according to inside sources within the presidency, President Bola Tinubu is expected to dissolve his cabinet in approximately three weeks, with twelve ministers set to be affected by the upcoming reshuffle.

According to the source, Bola Tinubu has decided to reevaluate his position in light of the growing hardship in the country. He expressed concerns about the performance of certain ministers, believing that they may not be up to the task of addressing the increased rate of hardship.

The president himself has also acknowledged the potential challenge posed by the inadequate performance of ministers, especially in the face of the upcoming 2027 elections.

The source further revealed that the president is not under any tension to drop big names in his cabinet, regardless of their name, political position, and influence.

Some ministers are already using their regional influence to exert pressure on the president, making it difficult for him to make changes to the cabinet. This situation suggests that the president may face internal political challenges when considering potential cabinet reshuffles.

“He’s going to sack ministers for sure, he has names already and he has kept it to himself and some of his trusted allies. I will not be able to tell you the names but they are prominent names,” the source told ThePAPERS confidently.

“I know that at least twelve ministers will go both junior and senior ministers. However, there’s the possibility of returning the suspended minister Betta Edu once EFCC clears her of alleged fraud in her ministry.

Explaining further, the source revealed that a former Lagos State governor could be part of the new cabinet. The source also said that the president is ready to bring new people who are ready to make his promises be fulfilled with a fast approach to resolve the hardship in the country.
