Offa LGA poll: I’m more confident, motivated to win – PDP candidate, Hon Salahudeen

In the upcoming Local Government elections across the country, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship Candidate in Offa local government, Hon. Lukman Salahudeen, has expressed increased confidence and motivation in his bid for victory.

In Abuja, the Federal High Court verdict on Tuesday overturned an ex-parte order that had previously prevented the Kwara State government from holding the Local Government election scheduled for September 21 in the state.

The candidate from Offa Local Government, widely known as “Eluku Omo Adugbo,” expressed confidence in the upcoming election process. He is optimistic that the people of Offa will support him and enable him to fulfill his promises by leading an all-encompassing administration.

Salahudeen, who finished second in the previous local government elections in Kwara State, stated that he has amassed significant support and intelligence from the people of Offa, positioning himself for a victorious outcome this time.

ThePAPERS reports that Salahudeen commended the initiative of President Bola Tinubu over Local government area autonomy, stressing that Kwara State being ruled by APC governor will not stop his chances of winning as PDP candidate for the upcoming local government elections.

He said: “I believe my first outing allowed me to understand it better, and to continue it more. And that is why I think this time around, we should make it happen. I am more motivated and ready to claim the victory. I believe in the people of Offa and I have also heard their cries loud and clear, to the glory of God if I win the election, I shall deliver beyond greater expectations.”

On Supreme Court verdict

“It is just a guide against any fraudulent or backdoor arrangements to discredit the process,” Salahudeen cleared.

The PDP candidate is confident in his deep connection with the residents and believes that his widespread popularity makes him the ultimate choice to govern the local government.

“Of course, I have greater experience. Experience is what you cannot buy with money. It has to do with your engagement and your life system. My father is an officer in our community; I quite understand the hyper-language as it is. While growing up, I understood the street and I relate with my people that is why I remain the popular candidate with trust and capacity to govern the Offa Local Government with honesty and dedication. This is what I have been doing since my days in school and it has been part of me till date.”

“My commitment to the well-being of the people is beyond the local community. Advocating for the masses who do not have the power to challenge poverty, but I speak for them when they need the right person. Beyond my local community, I have a significant contribution to the well-being of the people of Nigeria not only my state alone.

“I have been grassroots in my local community. This is the mantra to which I have been operating. Today, I can point out the policies that I have advocated for the betterment of the people.”

Residents of Offa local government have expressed their support for Hon. Salahudeen’s 5-point agenda, which aims to bring about effective governance at the grassroots level.
